Emmalie Mittens: A New Pattern from Brownie Knits

I'm sooooooo excited to release this new design. I started working on these fingerless mittens in October of 2013. Then, my entire world exploded as I got increasingly ill and received the carcinoid cancer diagnosis. Finalizing this pattern and releasing it represents to me my physical recovery and taking back control of my life. I hope that you find them enjoyable to make and wear. They are the final step in the spiral trio of the Flossie hat, Tressie cowl, and (now) Emmalie Mittens. All three designs use the same spiral stitch so you can have a matching set of accessories.

You can purchase the pattern on
for $1.99.

Emmalie is a fingerless pair of mittens designed to keep you warm, but your fingers free to move around. The spiral texture design is surrounded on the top and bottom with a simple seed stitch that allows for stretch and comfort. Knitted flat, they work up in a flash and the pattern includes instructions for adjusting the length to your preference. Wear the Emmalie mittens with a coat or as an accessory to your outfit. With two sizes available, you can make them for all of your friends!
