The Mamie hat and name was inspired by my Great Great Aunt Mamie. I only met her one time when we traveled to Alabama when I was about six. At the time, Aunt Mamie was much later in her life, but I have always imagined her as a teen in the Roaring Twenties wearing all of the wonderful dresses and hats of the time.
