Hello all you knitters! Last night the ladies and I went over to our local B&N to listen to the Yarn Harlot and have a great laugh at the expense of the non-knitters of the world. It was our own little cult and felt so good to be surrounded by people who understood all of the humor. If you haven't been exposed to Stephanie's work, check out her books. You WILL laugh.

I finished up knitting Patrick's scarf to go along with his new hat and I still have yarn leftover. I only purchased 300 yards--or so the labels said. So far I have a man's hat and a 5.5 foot scarf that is pretty wide, and 120 yards leftover. Something seems off. Oh well, I'm not complaining. I'm going to try and get some type of fingerless mittens out of it. (It is all yarn that I purchased at the Greencastle Fiber Event a few weeks ago--will post this weekend my pix.) I'm trying to be good and knit up all the yarn I bought there. Next up after the alpaca is one of the merino yarns for a shawl.

I'm sitting here watching MSNBC as I type and I still don't know who to vote for on Tuesday. Usually, my vote doesn't matter at all. Indiana votes very late, so things are usually decided by now and I am a very liberal minded voter in a very Republican state, so it elections it doesn't really matter either. Now I get to have a voice and I don't know what to do. At least I have two good options (in my opinion). I keep waiting to see something that locks in my vote--we'll see.
